Hendon prom
You will pick up cod, whiting, coalie, flounders, bass from along Hendon
there has been the odd thronback ray and dog fish if you use the right
bait you may pick one up you can fish it over high or low water rigs i
use is a pully rig with either a 2,0 or 4,0 Vikings hook or 2 hook flapper
with 1,0 Vikings all most any bait will or should catch you fish such as
lug, rag, frozen black, sqiud, mussel, crab, bluey, mackerel, and crab cart.
Also these baits may not catch you fish haha as we all know it can be
frustrating at time and we all get them big fat blanks.
Looking from the bandstand south towards the target and seaham
pier in the distance there is a couple of other good marks along
the cliffs called the falls and the swally
Looking from the bandstand to bays 3,2.1.
bay 1 looking south you can see with a good cast you can get onto them
rocks or the edge of the rocks.

Weekly report by Andy rutherford...26/1/20
Seaham North Pier has seen a few good size whiting along with the odd coalfish and flounders.
The cliff marks at Ryhope have still produced the odd codling, with the best over 3lb.
Roker Pier has not produced as many whiting as the water has cleared up. The odd codling up to 2lb has been taken out of the bay. Ian Elliott took a pollock of 3lb 13oz when fishing from the pier in the South Shields club comp.
Marsden and Whitburn's rock marks have produced the odd codling, with the best around 3lb.
South Shields Pier and The Groyne at the mouth of the Tyne have seen codling up to 2lb along with coalfish that are just undersized.
The River Tyne is full of undersized codling taking all types of bait, but frozen crab has picked out the odd better one up to 3lb. Further up river there are still plenty of flounders at the British Airways Car Park.
Anglers traveling to the west coast of Scotland have had great sport with thornback rays - some anglers have taken 12 fish a session with the best over 12lb.
