Fresh water session

Like i said i like to dabble in a bit of freshwater fishing i had a session up derwent water with a friend
and we did well it was a few weeks back when we went up and the water levels were quit high they will have drop a bit now.
we payed £24 for the day ticket that gives you a limit of 8 fish on the bait when you have caught ya 8 fish that's ya day over unless ya fish with the fly then you can fish all day catch and release and take ya 8 fish home. I use power bait and worm for bait the power bait seems to fish well up there.

Shads

These are the shads we use when we are up Scotland fishing for pollack you also catch other species with these 2inch shads the dark colours seem to work better than the lighter colours we have had wrasse, coalie and codling. We take the treble hook off as it will snag up we fish them close to the rocks and weed and ya reel in slow and twitch the rod now and again it seems to work the way we use them other may fish them different.

That time again

Well its that time again holiday time we have been going to a place in Scotland called Craobh Haven its 20 miles south of Oban we have been going up there for about 7 year and the fishing is great loads of different species to target.
Here is just a few photos of over the year we have been going up there.

This is the wife's (Julie) 32lb conger eel it is her biggest fish she has caught.

Me with me first every gurnard and above Jacks with nice pollack.
Jackson with his first every thornback ray.

My dad with a ling.
Hope the fishing is as good as it has being well only 3 weeks to go cant wait.
