Well after putting in the hours and sessions last week trying
for a plaice or 2 i thought it was time for a bit of easy fishing
so me our Jackson and Julie headed for derwent for a few trout it
was a slow day but we managed some out.

It went down hill for me AGAIN lol i ended up 2 one blue and
a rainbow our Jackson ended up with 4 rainbow and a blue
another great session out and a ass kicking getting used to
it now.

Me and Chris headed along there got there about 12'ish
when we got there codfather145 (Steve) and mad rob LOL
nice to meet yous boys any way fishing was slow but there
was fish there robs boy had the first one a dab then Steve
and rob got a couple of flattys i only managed the 1 and Chris
got the 2 nice day to be out but yet again that wind was a pain.

Me and our Jackson aka golden balls lol had a few
hours down the wear this afternoon fishing was crap
the first hour was a pain in the ass with weed and
leaves but when the tide stop pushing it was a
lot better any way i blanked as usual and Jackson
managed a codling out we fished up till high water.

Julie also joined us but never fished just chilled out LOL

This is a great mark for flounders you also will pick a few coalie up
as well it a comfortable spot to fish in the summer.

You are better off fishing this mark 3 hours before high water and
3 hours after any more and you will have to drag the fish over the
mud.

Walkway 24/4/13

Picked Chris up this morning about 7.30am and headed
for the walkway to see if we could get any other species
out for the specie race any way it turned out to be a canny
session with a fish every other chuck mainly small dabs and
small codling but another one on the list think we would
of picked up a few more species up but i had to leave for
work.

All fish returned to fight another day we would of  getting a
few more species out if we stopped a bit long.

There was a couple of big boat come up the tyne when we were
there this one is the Nissan car transporter boat.

and the other one is the Amsterdam ferry.

Seaham North Pier

Me and Chris got along there about 8am hoping for a
few species but when we got there it was blowing a gale
but we give it ago we started off at the 33/34 mark
nowt then moved to the end to get a bit shelter off the light
house we only managed a small pouting each but it
another one to add to the list.

There has been loads of less spotted dog fishing getting caught
off the pier there was 19 caught on Saturday also a 5lb thornback
ray the biggest doggies been round about the 2lb 6oz mark well
worth ago.

My self and Chris headed down shields big beach to see
if we could wangle a few fish we got down there about 4.30pm
and fished till 8.30pm fishing was slow few small bites of me
and that was it 3rd blank in a row. Chris done a bit better
he managed 2 flounders out his second was a toppa
it was 41cm and weighed 1lb 6oz.

Earlyer on in the day there was a few species coming of shields
pier small codling,small coalies dabs and flounders the placie are
still few and far between its also fishing well after dark the odd size
cod getting caught.

I was going to fish yesterday after the match but the
beer got the better of me so i never went. so dropped
our lass off at work this morning and headed down the
tyne wish i never it was crap not even a bite wish i just
went to the wear like i planned but never mind 2 blanks in
a row fishing is crap at the minute it can only get better.

The fishing is not at its best at the minute there is odd fish
getting caught a few plaice from shields and flounder from
the rivers loads of small codling coalie and whiting about.

The weather is warming up slowly but surely so we are hoping
the fishing picks up with the warm weather the crab will move
in and start to peel and the fish should follow them in.
